Phoenix Arizona artist Maggie Keane produced some unique street art near downtown Phoenix.
One is this wall art featuring Prince. The glasses are huge concave mirrors.

Maggie Keane also made this series of paintings all featuring David Bowie.

Deep Purple is releasing a new album this August. The 13 track recording is entitled "Whoosh!" and will be
released through earMUSIC. This albus is a follow-up to their 2017 release "Infinite".

2018 - Nightwish is touring the rest of this year and early 2019 in Europe.

2018 - Nick Mason, founding member of Pink Floyd, wil go on tour early 2019 with his "Sauceful of Secrets"
Tour. The tour will take place in March and April of 2019.

2018 - KISS has announced their "End of the Road" farewell tour to take place in early 2019. The
North American portion of the tour will start January 31 in Vancouver B.C.

2016 - Buckingham Palace, Rod Stewart was knighted on October 11. He became Sir Roderick David Stewart with his family in attendance.

2016 - The Who at Desert Trip Music Festival, Coachella, California. Also performing over two weekends were the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Roger Waters. The average age of the performers was 72.

2016 - The Rolling Stones at Desert Trip for two weekends in October also announced their forthcoming 23rd studio album of blues tunes, "Blue and Lonesome" due out December 2nd.

2016 - Robert Plant will perform seven charity concerts in the US in 2017 to support educational programs for displaced people in 45 countried worldwide.

2016 - A 40th anniversary commemoration of the death of Marc Bolan (T-Rex) will be held in London next year September 15, 2017.

2016 - Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow to release "Memories in Rock: Live in Germany" will feature a dozen Rainbow and Deep Purple tracks. Due out November 18.

2016 - David Bowie, born David Robert Jones, passed away from pancreatic cancer that spread to his liver, on January 10. He was a musical innovator bringing visual presentation to the musical stage. He knew of his terminal illness for a year and worked hard to finish his last album "Blackstar" which was released two day before his death.
